What the report covers
- The device's make, model and serial number
- The damage we found and, where we can tell, the likely cause
- Whether it can be repaired
- A repair quote, or a replacement recommendation if a repair isn't economical
Common situations
- Drops and cracked screens
- Liquid spills
- Power surges and storm damage
- Accidental damage at home or work
What to bring
- The device and its charger or power cable
- Your claim number, if you have one
- Any instructions from your insurer about what they need
- Your password, or we can test it with you present
Cost and timing
An insurance damage report is $150. It's usually ready within 1 business day of us receiving the device. If your insurer approves the repair, we can carry it out. Warranty depends on the part used and is confirmed on your quote.
Your files
If the device won't start and you need your files, ask about data recovery.
